Happy Monday Glams,
The past week has been super busy for us over at BlackGlamourMom. In addition to taking a much-needed weekend getaway with my husband, I also was hard at work at an Oscar’s Red Carpet Luncheon last week in LA.
Be sure to check back on BlackGlamourMom later this week for posts on both the weekend getaway and on my fabulous one-day trip to LA.
Now on to the topic at-hand! Can anyone say bobs? If there is one hairstyle that is being rocked by quite a few celebs as of late, it would have to be the Bob. I recently spotted the sexy look on Celeb Black Glamour Moms Brandy Norwood and Garcelle Beauvious during the ESSENCE Black Women in Hollywood event last week.
I must admit, I was in total awe of Brandy’s bob as she totally slayed the look. The singer went from an asymmetrical shoulder length style to the bob only hours before the red carpet event. Brandy’s bob comes courtesy of her Hairstylist Jasmine Ashley, who actually gave her instagram followers a peek into the transformation.
Brandy’s bob is both sexy and edgy, which we are loving over at BlackGlamourMom. Check out a full length pic of Brandy rocking the look below.
In addition to our Brandy Spotting, Actress Garcelle Beauvais arrived at the Black Women in Hollywood luncheon strutting her stuff like only a celeb glamour mom can, rocking the bob with an orange Tibi frock paired with multicolored Steve Madden Marlenne sandals. Her look was totally effortless and her bob was the perfect length to wear pushed back behind your ears, should you have a little toddler who is prone to pulling on mommies hair.
With these stars donning the cut, we decided to round up a few of our favorite celebs who have rocked the bob. We encourage you to not only enjoy, but to get inspired to make the chop just in time for the warmer weather.
Actress Tia Mowry-Hardarict
Singer Kelly Rowland
Actress Tika Sumpter
We over at BlackGlamourMom want to know if you’re going to make the chop for the spring. Keep us posted in the comments section below.
