Even though Halloween is only a few days away, there is still plenty of time to pull together a Halloween costume for your little one. In fact, there’s even enough time to get in on a little DIY Fashion-Inspired costume.
After recently reviewing collections from the NY, Paris and Milan Fashion Weeks, I still feel heavily vested in all of this fashion stirring around me. And with Halloween this Friday, I started thinking ‘What better way to keep the fashion wheels spinning than by dressing the kiddies in Halloween costumes inspired by some of our favorite fashion icons. The fun thing about these costume ideas is that they are super easy (Trust me, we know you have limited time!) and cheap to execute. In fact, I would say the majority of the looks can be pulled right from your own closet.
As I started thinking about fashion icons, the list was growing by the minute. Should we create a John Galliano look inspired by the pirate clothing and head scarf that he wore at his runway presentation or Isabella Blow, one of fashion’s doyennes who was known for her eclectic fashion choices and penchant for cool hats and head pieces. I even thought a Mini Betsey Johnson or Naomi Campbell would be cool. The list is actually endless and full of uber cool dress-up possibilities. After scouring the internet for inspiration, I finally landed on four greats!
Check out the inspiration pages behind each costume and you’ll discover that these are so easy to pull off. With a little leafing through your closets and a visit to your local wig spot, your little tot will be snubbing the other kid’s costumes like looks off the runway, in no time!
Glams, we want to hear from you! What do you think about the Fashion-Inspired costumes for Halloween? Which one is your favorite?
