Glams,

As we celebrate Black History Month, we over at BlackGlamourMom are continuing to shine a spotlight on some of our favorite “ BlackGlamourMoms” throughout the month of February. We are calling them our “Power Moms.” These women, some celebrities, some not, are movers and shakers and do it all while balancing the joys of motherhood. They are what we like to call powerful and we are excited to celebrate them.

We hope that you enjoy the list just as much as we’ve enjoyed compiling it and we encourage you to stay tuned throughout the month as we highlight our picks for our First Annual “BlackGlamourMom Power Mom List.”

June Ambrose

Chronicling the joys of motherhood while simultaneously spitting knowledge around the glamorous life of styling some of the music industry’s hottest stars is all in a day’s work for Super Stylist and Mom June Ambrose. June is to the hip-hop fashion game as Biggie is to hip-hop—she is one of the originals.

As a Glam-Mommy blog, we get tons of fashion inspiration from June and can’t get enough of her #rockmomchronicles updates via social media.

Why We Love Her: Her style is out of this world and she does it all while still spending a ton of time with her children. It seems as if June has created the perfect formula for incorporating family into business time and we totally love her for it!

Fun Fact: June recently chatted with The Coveteur and was quoted as saying:  “If my shoes could talk I’m pretty sure they would say: ‘I want to dance with somebody; I want to feel the heat with somebody. We are the sole of fashion.” This quote is extremely telling as to how she views the role of fashion within her life.
