Glams,
We over at BlackGlamourMom just love moms that give back! So, it should come as no surprise that we were super thrilled to hear about Ethiopian Model Liya Kebede teaming up with jeweler David Yurman on a charitable initiative where proceeds of sales will benefit the Liya Kebede Foundation that supports maternal health services and education in Ethiopia.
As part of the collaboration, Kebede and Yurman have introduced a piece, the Curb Link Love ID Bracelet, which retails for $895.00.

During the weekend of May 3, a percentage of all David Yurman sales will go towards Kebede’s foundation.
Kebede recently chatted with ESSENCE Magazine about the partnership and shared her feelings around the collaboration. “Mother’s Day is special for what it is, it’s a thank you for your mom but it would be nice to not only say thank you to your mom but say thank you to the all of the other mom’s and have a way to save all of the other mother’s from unnecessary deaths during pregnancy and child birth. That’s the messaging here; we’re trying to make sure that every mom in the world gets access to basic medical care before, during and after pregnancy child birth. It’s a nice round way of not only gifting your mom, but all of the other mother’s in a way.”
As a mother who loves David Yurman, we can’t help but drool over the Link Love ID Bracelet and what it stands for.
Moms, do you know of any other special fashion collaborations in time for Mother’s Day? We want to hear from you!
