Hello Glams,

As mothers, I’m sure you’ve heard of tons of different types of child enrichment programs for your little munchkin. From mommy-and-baby yoga classes to family swim classes, there are plenty for us mothers to choose from. While doing a little reading over the weekend, I came across one of the coolest programs yet–A DJ School For Babies! This schools tagline is: “Empowering the super young, to mix music that is super dope.”

I can admit, I may be a little biased as to just how cool this class is, simply because I’m a music lover. Everyone who knows me, knows that I always have been, which is clearly why on any given day you can find me putting my Beats headphones on my son and allowing him to listen to different types of music, in addition to blasting some of our favorite songs while we literally dance around the house!

So back to this Baby DJ School.

Yes, if you live in the New York area you can send your baby, 3 months to 3 years, to the Baby DJ School in Brooklyn. Now how cool is that?

Natalie Elizabeth Weiss, founder of  the Baby DJ School in Brooklyn, is both a composer and performing artist, who started the school after taking her DJ equipment to a friend’s house and watching as the friend’s baby began to express interest in the machines. Soon, she began writing original songs that would teach kids about DJing and electronic music.

During the classes, the kids are experimenting with the turntables and DJ equipment.  Unfortunately for this BlackGlamourMom, the classes are only being taught in Brooklyn at this time. However, if you are in the New York area and are interested, the classes are currently priced at $210 for a total of seven classes. I am hoping that some DJ in my area decides that the idea is cool and starts these up in my city! Check out my little munchkin below with his headphones on!
