Are Crop Tops The New Pregnancy Fashion Staple?

I can remember like it was yesterday being pregnant with my son and being on the hunt for fashionable, yet comfy pieces to rock as part of my pregnancy wardrobe. Out of all of the looks that I rocked, I never put on a Crop Top. In fact, I never even considered it.

Fast-Forward to almost two years later and it seems like Crop Tops are all the rage for expectant mommies. From Kerry Washington to Kristin Cavallari, the Crop Top reigns supreme as part of the latest list of pregnancy fashion frocks.

After seeing a recent picture of Reality TV Star Kourtney Kardashian baring her bump during a photo shoot in the Hamptons earlier this week, I really started thinking about the idea of Crop Tops being the “new pregnancy fashion staple.”

Now let’s be clear, I am not against Crop Tops. Heck, I think that all of the expectant moms that I’ve seen wearing the look totally nailed it. However, I will say that there has to be some level of caution in terms of how far along you are in your pregnancy and where you are wearing the look out to before deciding to add the look as part of your pregnancy closet staples.

One of the best ways to wear the look while pregnant would be to pair the top with a long maxi skirt. I personally am loving the pleated maxi look and would so recommend slaying your crop top look with this elongated skirt.
